Afternoon Drive: Monday to Friday 2 to 6pm Sundays 12 to 6pm
About Yourself
Rob Jay has been entertaining audiences since birth…no really he has, that’s not a cliché! As a child he got into acting and was inspired and motivated by pleasing the audience. Rob honed his skill and talent on stage first, performing in numerous plays but it was his ensemble role in the play Big River that led to his first movie role (Stolen Memories: Secrets of the Rose Garden). This led to several film and theater projects. In his pursuit of higher education he attended Johnson C. Smith University where he also developed a passion for video production, and after earning a Bachelors Degree in Broadcast Communications he went on to the Savannah College of Art and Design where he earned a Masters degree in Performing Arts.
It was in Savannah, GA working on his masters degree that God’s divine intervention led him to work at the radio station 94.1 The Beat and it was there that the passion and love for radio was nurtured. Next he moved to cross-town rival E93 and while there he gained notoriety and created a brand. In a strange twist of circumstances and with a burning desire to move back north Rob Jay relocated to Philadelphia and as fate would have it the window of opportunity opened at KISS 101.7 where he now has the honor of being your afternoon drive host!
You can now hear him on air Monday through Friday and Sundays as well find him out in the community serving and working with various causes!
